After the retreat of rumbling monsoon clouds, comes the golden autumn, sharot for we Bengalies, and it brings the joy of the arrival of Goddess Durga, the Divine Mother. The biggest and the most sacred festival of Bengal and the Bengalies. Kolkata being the capital of Bengal host this festival in the biggest manner. The festival starts from “Maha Panchami” and ends on “Maha Dashami” lasting for six days. Only in Kolkata more than 400 Pujas are being organised, every puja has its own theme, events, functions that leave no stones unturned to make their puja unique and best.
Like every year, SERUM Analysis Centre Pvt. Ltd. presents & Serum Thalassemia Prevention Federation hosts Serum Sharod Baran, the biggest crown of Sharod Samman for the cities of Kolkata, Saltlake & Howrah. The Awards are given for Best Idol, Best Concept, Best Low Budget Puja and Best Societal Friend.
It is our privilege to announce that this year we are organizing the 10th Serum Sharod Baran and we have come up with a unique Pre-Puja Competition: "Bhabishater Pran Jal Bachan" to create awareness for the scarcity of water at the same time making people conscious about stop wastage of water. All Puja Committees across Kolkata, Saltlake & Howrah can participate by creating a logo & writing a slogan in Bengali on the subject and mail us at email@example.com latest by September 2, 2019
It is our privilege to announce that this year SERUM Analysis Centre (P) Ltd. & Serum Thalassemia Prevention Federation is organizing the 10th Serum Sharod Baran the mega event for Durga Puja Awards named as "Serum Sharod Samman" for Kolkata, Saltlake & Howrah.
To celebrate the 10th year in a unique way, we are organising the Pre-Puja Competition "Bhabishater Pran Jal Bachan", a magnificent initiative to make people aware of the shortage of water.
Pre-Puja Competition Awards:
3 Best Logo along with the Slogan in Bengali will be awarded with Rs 20,000/- each to the concerned Puja Committees along with memento at Kolkata Press Club on September 6, 2019 between 5:00pm & 6:00pm
Awards will be delivered to the concerned Puja Committees on the 4 segments, viz.,
• Best Idol • Best Concept • Best Low Budget Puja
• Best Societal Friend
The concerned Puja Committees will be awarded with Rs 20,000/- each along with memento on Maha Saptami, October 5, 2019 (Saturday)
Durga Puja is a Hindu celebration of the Mother Goddess and the victory of the revered warrior Goddess Durga over the evil Mahishasura. The festival honours the powerful female force (shakti) in the Universe. It is particularly celebrated with great zeal and fervour in the state of West Bengal in Kolkata in the honour of Mother Durga coming to Her Father's house for 9 days, during the span of whole period of Navaratri. From Maha Panchami to Dashami the huge pandals of the Goddess Durga are open to the visitors. On the tenth day, Dashami, Goddess Durga again returns to Mt. Kailash and as we immersed into water - the Visarjan.
